Originating from 13 names... those of the thirteen founders who came together and gathered a team of expert winemakers to create a trusted signature for Rhone Valley wines. As a tribute to their work, the name DARONTON was born from a blend of parts of their names. Each cuvée is a blend of grape varieties and soils, selected for their ability to deliver the most accurate expression of its appellation. The "limited edition" is a special selection of highly qualitative parcels and grape varieties.<br />

Tasting
A deep wine with notes of garrigue, ripe fruit with a powerful hint of liquorice and smoke. A harmonious whole, with a beautiful structure accompanied by a frame of freshness brought by the syrah. Elegance with a nice length on the finish.

The vintage
Between heat and drought, the weather conditions have been challenging again this year. However, thanks to the remarkable resilience of our vines and the dedicated efforts of our Artisan Winegrowers and technical staff, the 2022 vintage promises to be of outstanding quality.
Terroir
A hillside vineyard on clay-limestone terraces covered with rolled pebbles.
Winemaking
The harvest is manual and fully destemmed. Long vatting with punching down, 15% of the blend is aged in oak barrels for 18 months.
