"Coming from 60% Grenache, 30% Syrah, and 10% Mourvèdre and aged 12 months in concrete tanks, the 2024 Vacqueyras Fontimple shows red and black cherries, pepper, sandalwood, and Provençal herb nuances. It's medium-bodied, pure, balanced, and has fine tannins. It's a beautiful wine and should easily be outstanding. Hats off to this terrific co-op for producing beautiful, impeccably made wines."

The vintage

2024 has been full of weather challenges. Spring brought disease pressure, summer droughts reduced yields, and heavy rains in September added to the difficulties. Even so, the great quality of the wines reflects the skill, dedication, and great adaptability of our Artisans winegrowers and winemakers.

Terroir

Complementary soils of round pebbles, clay and limestone.

Winemaking

he grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness, either by hand or mechanically depending on the parcel. Fermentation and maceration last 16 to 20 days at controlled temperatures. Regular pump-overs and a few rack-and-return operations gently extract colour, aromas and structure.

Grape variety

  • Grenache noir – 60%
  • Syrah – 30%
  • Mourvèdre – 10%
