2024 Vintage: Elegance & Distinction

This year’s weather patterns have been particularly erratic. From the pressures of cryptogamic diseases in spring to summer droughts reducing yields and torrential rains in September (123 mm!), our winegrowers and technical teams faced significant challenges. Yet, the exceptional quality of the early wines is a testament to the discipline, responsiveness, and expertise of our collective.

Overcoming climate challenges with precision

The 2024 vintage demanded constant vigilance, from battling mildew and powdery mildew during a rainy spring (103 mm of rain in May and June) to managing the harvest under the threat of autumn downpours. Climate change is becoming increasingly evident, introducing new complexities each year. Thanks to advanced decision-making tools, meticulous monitoring by the vineyard’s team, and the agility of our winegrowers, crop losses were minimized (an average of -15%), and stylistic goals were achieved.

Exceptional aromatic purity and remarkable elegance

The diversity of our terroirs and the care taken at every stage of production have resulted in wines of outstanding quality. The whites stand out for their vibrancy and exotic aromas; the rosés for their freshness and a delightful array of red berry notes.

“We’ve achieved great success with our whites, particularly in the Ventoux appellation,” explains Thierry Sansot, Director of Vine and Wine. “Harvesting very early in the morning has paid off. Our rosés showcase beautifully pale hues with notes of currant, strawberry, and citrus.”

As for reds, “It’s the year of Grenache!” declare the oenologists and cellar masters Sylvain Bouteille, Thierry Caymaris-Moulin, and Alexis Valette in unison. The Grenaches display an intense, vibrant red color and a tannic structure marked by silkiness and suppleness. In the cellars, notes of currant, strawberry, and raspberry dominate, complemented by the classic Syrah markers of blackberry and cassis.

While this vintage is defined by its remarkable aromatic purity and unparalleled elegance, it also underscores the critical role of collective expertise in overcoming climatic uncertainties.

Rasteau 2024: Elegance and Drinkability

The 2024 harvest in Rasteau took place in cool, almost winter-like conditions, ideal for preserving the balance and finesse of the grapes. Avoiding excessive concentration, the vintage stands out for its consistent ripeness across both grape varieties and terroirs. The result: wines that are highly enjoyable, elegant, and perfectly aligned with contemporary preferences for freshness and approachability.
