A Gold Medal for our Visan

has been awarded a Gold Medal at the
Challenge 2022 "Prix Plaisir Bettane+desseauve"!

🍷 Every year, an expert jury made of wine professionals & private consumers distinguishes hidden gems that deserve to be discovered by wine enthusiasts seeking excellent value for money.

🥇 Among the 547 awarded medals, we are incredibly proud of the recognition given to our Côtes du Rhône Villages Visan "Le Clocher". It highlights an appellation that holds a special place in our heart: the Côtes du Rhône Villages.

Between Côtes du Rhône and Crus, the "Villages" are real treasures: diversity of soils, climates and exposures offers a true invitation to journey in our provençal region.

Visan is the most northern of the southern Côtes du Rhône Villages, located in the "Enclave des Papes", a small territory nestled within the Drôme department, which used to be property of the Popes when they were located in Avignon during the 14th century.

🌡Here, the climate is cooler than in the southern part of the Vaucluse department. The grapes have higher levels of acidity, resulting in a refreshing sensation and delightful aromas of fruits and violets in the wine.

These characteristics evidently captivated the members of the jury!
