Creation of a wastewater treatment station at Beaumes de Venise
In last year’s magazine, we announced the creation of a wastewater treatment station on the Beaumes de Venise Winery. The station became operational in June 2024, just in time for the harvest season—a particularly critical period for managing effluents.
The results from the first three months (August to October) have been very encouraging. The station has already achieved an average performance rate of 82%, with treated water safely sent to the main treatment facility in the village of Aubignan. This success is particularly noteworthy, as the bacteria and reed bed filters are still maturing, and the analysis was conducted during the busiest time of the year.
Suez Company, which manages the Aubignan treatment plant, has expressed satisfaction with the excellent results and their positive impact on their operations.
A project with multiple objectives
- Responsibility: The station now treats all wastewater generated by the winery, including from tank cleaning and the production line. The water arrives at the main facility in a pre-treated state, significantly reducing the environmental footprint.
- Cooperation: The site now includes a shared washing area for our artisan winegrowers, making it easier for them to clean their equipment.
Rhonéa steps up with a new erp system
