Fresh reds, the new trend arriving in france...

More lightness and freshness! This is the new demand, as the traditional moments of consumption - at the table, around a good meal - have given way to simpler, more relaxed moments. This ‘fashion’ has benefited rosé and white wines. But the trend has gone from being a fad to a real underlying trend, and red wines have a card to play in this world! Fridge' red, “Clear” red, “Light” red... all names for these wines that proudly display their freshness and fruitiness!

To meet this demand, Rhonéa will be releasing two wines in 2025: ‘Le Pingouin’ in the On trade and ‘Rouge Frisson’ in the Off trade. A special feature of the labels is that once the wine has reached the right temperature, additional elements appear, showing to the consumer that the wine is ready to be enjoyed!

What is a ‘Light Red’?

A light red wine is characterized by a more fluid texture and a lower concentration of tannins than classic red wines. It's the art of our winemakers to select very fruity grape varieties, with relatively little color and harvested slightly under-ripe to obtain a lot of freshness, fruity and floral aromas, offering a refreshing palette of flavors that are easy to appreciate, even for those less accustomed to red wines.
